Alexander Global Logistics Completes Generational Leadership Transition – Heiko Voigt Joins Alexander Hellmers as Managing Director
November 2, 2026
Alexander Global Logistics GmbH (AGL) has taken another important step towards the future. With the successful completion of its planned generational leadership transition, a new chapter begins for the internationally operating family-owned company.

Company founders Carsten Hellmers and Monique Geisler are handing over operational responsibility while remaining closely involved with AGL as shareholders. They will continue to actively support the company's strategic development, contributing their many years of experience and valuable networks. This ensures that the strong connection between generations remains an essential part of AGL's corporate culture.

Heiko Voigt was appointed Managing Director effective November 1, 2026. Alongside Alexander Hellmers, who has been a member of AGL's management team since 2020, he now shares responsibility for leading and further developing the company. With this new leadership structure officially in place, the generational transition at management level is now complete.

"For Monique and me, this is a particularly special moment. Alexander has grown alongside AGL and knows our company, our customers, and our values inside out. With Heiko, we are gaining a highly respected industry expert who brings not only extensive experience but also fresh perspectives. We are delighted with this strong combination and are confident that together they will continue to drive AGL forward with great dedication and new ideas," explains Carsten Hellmers.

Heiko Voigt brings extensive international industry experience and an excellent network within the commodity markets that are particularly important to AGL. Together with Alexander Hellmers, he aims to further strengthen the company's established position in the paper, pulp, timber, and forest products sectors, deepen existing customer relationships, and drive AGL's international growth with fresh ideas and renewed momentum.

Under its new leadership structure, AGL will remain an independent, family-owned company. Personal customer relationships, reliability, entrepreneurial responsibility, and a passion for international logistics will continue to be at the heart of everything the company does.

With Alexander Hellmers and Heiko Voigt at the helm, Alexander Global Logistics looks ahead to the coming years with great confidence.
